The AMVETS is a non-profit veteran service organization, providing veterans and the community through several programs, but not limited to: veterans volunteer service programs (VAVS), scholarship awards to local students, military funeral honors, patriotic observances, Americanism programs, scouting, and veteran outreach programs.
