Penn State Extension on the Fayette County is now accepting applcations for the 2017/2018 Penn State Master Gardener program. This program consists of a volunteer training course designed to provide experienced home gardeners with information and skills necessary to share their experience and knowlege with others. An informationl meeting will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2017 at 7:00pm, at the Extension office, 34 W. Peter Street, Uniontown. Weekly classes start October 4, 2017 and end March , 2018. Classes will also be held at the Extension office.

Skill performance includes afilt, child, and infant patients, as well as 2-resuer CPR, AED use, and use of a bag-mask for ventilation. Students must successfully complette both skills abd written examinations for certification. This couse meets occupational requirements for health care providers in various fields.
