Penn State Extension on the Fayette County is now accepting applcations for the 2017/2018 Penn State Master Gardener program. This program consists of a volunteer training course designed to provide experienced home gardeners with information and skills necessary to share their experience and knowlege with others. An informationl meeting will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2017 at 7:00pm, at the Extension office, 34 W. Peter Street, Uniontown. Weekly classes start October 4, 2017 and end March , 2018. Classes will also be held at the Extension office.

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers trianing reinforces heathcare professional' understanding fo the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, asic steps of proforming CPR, relieving choking, using an AED, and the role of each lik in the Chain of Survival. Skill performance includes afilt, child, and infant patients, as well as 2-resuer CPR, AED use, and use of a bag-mask for ventilation. Students must successfully complette both skills abd written examinations for certification. This couse meets occupational requirements for health care providers in various fields.

You do not need to be in the medical field to participate in this course.

The State Theatre Center for the Arts will hold their annual Bag and Bling Bash on Sunday, February 25^th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. (doors open at 12:30 p.m.)
