Uniontown Area YMCA is partnering with Penn State Extension for Family Time Fun Nights on Mondays from October 1^st through November 12^th. The evenings will include a family dinner, breakout sessions for parents and youth, combined activities, door prizes, and Y time (gym or swimming – optional).

Anyone with children ages 10-14 years of age are invited, at no cost (free child care for younger siblings). To register, email Jennifer at jld61@psu.edu or call 724-438-0111. You may also complete the registration form and give it to the YMCA front desk.

Join the Chamber's FYPN group and the Fayette County Historical Society to a walk through Fayette County (creepy) history!

The Walks will take place from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26^th and again on Saturday, October 27^th, with tours running every 30 minutes. The cost for the Walk is $15.00 per person with advance registration ($20 at door – students showing their student ID may take the tour for $15.00).

Guides will lead groups for a walk in and around several “haunted” locations along the route, from the Courthouse down along Main Street, with a few stops along the way, such as the State Theatre and the Titlow Tavern. A few theatrical vignettes have been added, to truly immerse you in the stories. The event will end at DiMarco’s Bistro & Cantina, where you’ll meet staff from the Pittsburgh Paranormal, who’ll accompany you through several levels of the building. You’ll hear creepy facts as well as various stories of sightings of otherworldly figures.

The tour lasts about an hour, and will be held through all types of weather, so guests are asked to dress accordingly and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Pre-paid reservations are strongly suggested, as only a certain number of slots are available and fill up fast. Guests are asked to gather at Eberly Square (corner of Beeson and Main Streets) and arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled walk to check in. Once there, you are invited to hang out by the fire pit and enjoy s’mores while you wait. We promise, you’ll have a ghostly good time!
