Event Description: St. Vincent DePaul Society are asking individuals, churches, and organizations in the community to organize a food drive and bring canned goods to their 11th annual Gospel Sing on Saturday, September 14th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Donations of non-perishable food items, specifically donations of canned vegetables, toilet paper, pasta, sauce, canned fruits, peanut butter, cereals and jelly, will be greatly accepted. St. Vincent de Paul volunteer Travis Jones is again coordinating musical talent to perform during the day, featuring many talented artists from the community such as Taylor Made Praise Band, Foggy Mountain Gang, Washhouse Band, 2 Edged Sword, Hillsmen, Becky and Sarah Bowlen, Gail Perney, and much more. Volunteers will also be setting up food booths to give away hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, cotton candy, etc. to those guests coming out for the day. In addition, there will be children’s Face Painting by Rose. People can also provide assistance by donating clothes, household goods, and anyone interested in making monetary contributions can do so by contacting St Vincent directly.
