Event Description: The Factory Digital Filmmaking Program at Douglas Education Center (DEC) is celebrating its five-year anniversary with an Open House and Celebration on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Digital Film Building located at 533 Schoonmaker Avenue, Monessen. Prospective students and families interested in learning more about The Factory Digital Filmmaking Program are invited to attend. Since its start, The Factory has grown, expanding its classroom space and increasing its student roster significantly. The event will include demonstrations in editing and sound mixing as well as a visit to The Factory’s soundstage, where those in attendance will see first-hand what goes on behind-the-scenes during a film production, and compilations of student work. Admissions, financial aid, career services and housing representatives will be on hand to answer any questions. While registration is not required, it is recommended.
