Event Description: Masontown Matters is sponsoring the annual July 4th Celebration at Masontown-German Park. Opening flag ceremonies will be conducted by the Boy Scouts at 9:30 a.m., which will be followed by race for children. A softball tournament will take place throughout the day. The main events will begin at 4:00 p.m., and will include vendor booths, selling a variety of foods, sweets, lemonade, purses, leather goods, jewelry, wood crafts, cookbooks, etc. There will also be a historic booth. A magician will perform from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Musical entertainment will be provided from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., followed by a band from 6:00 - 9:30 p.m. a train for children will be available to ride, there's a coloring contest from 5:00-7:00 p.m., and candle dipping are just a few of the fun activities for visitors to enjoy. The highlight of the evening will be the fireworks, which will take place at approximately 9:30 p.m.
