Event Description: Westmoreland County Community College is offering fall credit classes beginning Thursday, August 16th, at the Fayette County Education Center, North Beeson Boulevard, in Uniontown. Fall classes are offered days and evenings, and meet once or twice a week. In addition to applying to WCCC programs of study, the credits earned will transfer to most area colleges and universities. The fall schedule includes courses in: accounting, art, biology, business, chemistry, computers, criminal justice, English, history, math, personal development, political science, psychology, reading, sociology and speech. Complementing the Fayette County Center courses are more than 230 online classes, which also begin August 16th. Online classes, which can be completed at home, offer convenience and flexibility and count the same as classroom-based courses. New students must complete an application for admission prior to registering for classes. New students enrolled full-time may also take the placement test by appointment at the Fayette County Center.
