Event Description: UAF will hold a Guitar Camp with instructors Señor Girod & Matt Lancaster from August 6th through 9th, and August 13th – 16th, both from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. The Camp offers a chance for youth guitarists entering grades 7 - 12 to enhance their guitar skills. In this beginner to intermediate level camp, guitarists will explore musical inspiration, chords and scales, group critiques, and impromptu jam sessions in a small group setting. Instruction and mentorship will be provided by Señor Girod (17 years guitar experience) and Matt Lancaster (9 years experience). At the end of week two, all participants will perform at “The Ave” @ 59 S. Gallatin Ave., downtown Uniontown, where friends, family and the community can enjoy their music and fellowship. Open to students, grades 7-12. Price*: $5 per Student, Per Week (2 Weeks). *No cost to those who receive free or reduced lunch; Scholarships are limited. **Students must have their own instrument.
