Event Description: Uniontown Arts Fellowship is announcing the Chateau Mural Project - Summer 2012 June 15 | July 20 | August 17 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Bus Pick up is at 9:30 a.m. at Uniontown Area High School’s Grant Street Parking Lot, and bus returns at 3:30 p.m. Limited bus seating available. You MUST RSVP in advance to ride the bus [see below for RSVP contact]. *Transportation and Lunch will be provided by Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, in the Associate Cafeteria to those working the full-day, and the cost is only your time! The Chateau Mural Project is a community mural project being painted in the basement of Nemacolin’s Chateau Lafayette building. In this associate-only area, artists can mentor area youth in creating an inspirational mural that will bring the outdoors inside, playing host to over-sized flowers, trees, cottages, directional signs and inspirational quotes. The target youth age group is 5th grade & up [younger than 5th grade MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian]. All adults ages 18 and older are welcome to participate as mentor artists and volunteers. NO artistic abilities required! The mural will be pre-drawn and a team will assist in color placement, painting solid color fields- no shading required. You will be sent a participation waiver and updates specifically related to the Project. You MUST return a participation waiver and RSVP for the dates you will be participating.
