Event Description: Get in the mood for St. Patrick’s Day with the music of Pittsburgher Mike Gallagher on March 11, at the Christian W. Klay Winery. Complimentary tastings of the winery’s award-winning wines will also be offered during this event, which will be held 1-4 p.m. Admission price also includes a light meal of Irish stew and chocolate cupcakes with mint icing. Gallagher, a native Pittsburgher, is known primarily for performing Irish and Scottish folk, but he also specializes in contemporary acoustic and performs a number of original selections. Aside from being a mainstay at many local clubs, he has also performed at the Three Rivers Arts Festival, the Pittsburgh Irish Festival, and various colleges and universities. He has toured extensively throughout the United States and parts of Europe. His original works draw on the influences of American roots music and Celtic traditions. Master of the Irish ballad as well as haunting love songs, Gallagher has established himself as an entertainer who brings emotion, humor and spirit to every performance.
