Event Description: Tri-State SHRM will hold their next workshop on Wednesday, November 16th. “Beyond Traditional Leadership: Empowering Leadership for the 21st Century HR Professional” will be presented by Dr. Jeffery D. Houghton Ph.D., GPHR. Participants will learn to: identify the four basic types of leadership styles; employ empowering leadership approaches in dealing with contemporary leadership challenges; develop effective leadership strategies for dealing with organizational change processes; and facilitate an empowering leadership culture within an organization. The event begins at noon with lunch, followed by the program from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. The workshop will be held at 889 Mylan Park Lane, Morgantown, WV (email Melissa by the Friday before the program date for complete details or to register at – 304-692-6960 OR mbasden@paceenterprises.org). This program has been submitted for pre-approval for 1.5 general recertification credit hours from the HRCI. The cost to attend is $20.00 for Tri-State and Fayette Chamber members, $30.00 for non-members, and $5.00 for students.
