Event Description: The Government Affairs Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce invites you to join them for a Conversation With...Chevron Friday, May 6, 2011 11:30 a.m. - Chamber Office Cost: $12.00 per person (lunch provided) With estimated recoverable reserves of more than 500 tcf of natural gas, the Marcellus Shale formation in Fayette County is attracting investments from some of the largest companies in the world.  In February 2011, Chevron Corporation completed its merger with Atlas Energy Inc., and the company now calls Fayette County home.  The heart of Chevron’s newly-established Appalachian/Michigan Business Unit (AMBU) is located in Smithfield, PA and is home to nearly 200 of Chevron’s new employees.  Please join the Fayette Chamber in a conversation with Bruce Niemeyer, Vice President of Chevron’s Appalachian/Michigan Business Unit, as he provides an introduction to Chevron’s operations in Southwest PA and discusses the future of natural gas exploration and production in our region.
