Event Description: In conjunction with It’s a Connellsville Christmas, Downtown Connellsville will host a Connellsville Christmas Cookie Festival. Planners are in the process of contacting downtown businesses to provide space in their stores to allow local non-profits to sell cookies. “It is our hope that Connellsville residents and visitors will become more familiar with downtown businesses during this weekend event. It is so important to shop local and pump those dollars into our economy. The Connellsville Christmas Cookie Festival was planned with this in mind,” said Susan McCarthy, Downtown Connellsville. A letter is in the mail to downtown businesses asking them to participate. If you are a downtown business, have not received a letter, but you are interested in participating, please contact McCarthy Public Relations. Area non-profit organizations who are interested in selling cookies, may also contact McCarthy Public Relations at 724-628-6956 or 724-628-6072. Deadline for participation is Nov. 24, 2010.
