Event Description: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas already and in Connellsville, the Downtown Connellsville promotions committee is formulating plans for It’s A Connellsville Christmas. This weekend event, which will be held Dec. 4-5, 12 noon – 5 p.m., will feature a number of activities including: • Tours of area churches and sponsored activities at a number of the churches • Performances of the Nutcracker at 6 p.m. at the Edwin S. Porter Theater on Dec. 4 &5. Tickets are $10 adults; $8 senior citizens and $5 for children under 12 years of age. A 10% discount is available for groups of 10 or more. For further information, please call 724-626-1645. • Poinsettia sale at Artworks Connellsville at 139 W. Crawford Ave. • Nancy’s Tea Room will offer tours of her house on Dec. 5. Tea and scones will be served. • There will also be many holiday activities throughout the city. “We are asking area businesses and churches to come together as a community to celebrate the holidays with us. Connellsville was once a city full of activity during the holiday season and we are planning this weekend long event to recapture those feelings and happy memories,” said Patrick Stefano, chair of the Downtown Connellsville promotions committee.
