Event Description: Got a few hours to spare? Eighth grade students from each school district are scheduled for an hour’s visit at the career fair. Before attending the event, they are given a research assignment – two or three careers that they want specifically to explore & a list of questions that they can ask. Businesses, organizations, and professionals from our community, representing over 100 careers, are invited to showcase their professions and occupations. The Fair is set up like an Expo, and each career represented has a covered table with a sign listing the participating career. You are encouraged to bring visual displays to aid students. All representatives are provided with a continental breakfast and lunch that day (courtesy of LBI). Interested in volunteering?
