Modern telecommunications networks are available throughout the county, via state-of-the-art fiber-optic networks and other technologies. Several Internet service providers are located in the county.

Internet Service Providers

Two daily newspapers are headquartered in the county, a major regional paper maintains a local area Sunday edition, and the area is also served by Pittsburgh’s major newspapers. Several AM and FM radio stations broadcast from the county, and there are two local Cable TV providers (see utilities) in addition to the regional stations in Pittsburgh.

Local Media

The Performing and visual arts are well represented in the area, through programs and activities at Penn State Fayette and California University of Pennsylvania, and in public theater, museums, dance studios, art galleries, and concerts. The restored, historic State Theatre Center for the Arts, in Uniontown, brings national headliners to the area, and local dinner theater and amateur drama societies perform throughout the county. Touchstone Center for Crafts, a nationally recognized school for art and crafts, is located in the mountains east of Uniontown. World-class performing arts are located in Pittsburgh.
